Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is an American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor who is active in theater in film, television, and theatre. Her career began acting in the theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just critical acclaim but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Coming to her movie career she is most well-known for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her part as a character in ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
