Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), was born to Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. She is of Italian (from her maternal great-grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English, and Scottish heritage. Linda is the youngest of California's children, grew up around and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Acting became her passion when she was ten years old as she performed as a singer in a school's annual Christmas production. Then she began to appear at school and community stage productions. Linda studied at Saint Francis High School Mountain View California. When she graduated she had to make a decision. She was unsure if she should go to New York and pursue theatre or Los Angeles in order to pursue a degree in film and TV? Freaks and Geeks was the character that led to her breakthrough. This show earned her the Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for the field of Comedy Series. She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete student at the University of California.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on 5 April 1989) is an English actor from England. Her professional career started in 2010, with the British TV series Just William, in which she studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Following her role as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her first big break came in playing the title role in the fantasy film Cinderella (2015). James was then cast as The Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. She has also starred in many films including Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018, and The Dig 2021, as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! There We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). In 2022, her role as Pamela Anderson was recognized with an Golden Globe nomination and a Primetime Emmy Award.
